Dr. Jaydee Romick, PT, DPT

Areas of expertise: orthopedics, health and wellness, nutrition 

Jaydee has served as George Fox’s Community Clinic director since the summer of 2020, and has prior experience as the clinic director at an outpatient orthopedic clinic in Portland from 2018-2020. She is an alum of the George Fox College of Physical Therapy Doctorate program and has previously served in their cardiac physical therapy clinic and taught courses in hearth health and nutrition during Health & Wellness Week. She has been a guest lecturer for the DPT program since 2017 and was most recently an adjunct professor at George Fox in 2021/2022, teaching Therapeutic Exercise and starting the community exercise program SOAR (Staying Osteoarthritis Resilient). She holds a bachelor of science degree in exercise science and biology from Linfield University.

Jaydee continues to practice in multiple community healthcare capacities, pursues research related to meaningful health and wellness outcomes for athletes and older adults, and has traveled with the George Fox DPT program for their service trip to Ghana to help improve the lives of adults with disabilities and chronic health conditions. In her work, she seeks to empower those she serves to pursue and achieve what really matters for full participation in life. Jaydee loves music, plays the drums, is a retired national champion softball player, and more than anything loves spending time with her daughter, Blake, and husband, Jordan. She genuinely has a positive spirit for life and living it to the fullest and is energized by people and teaching.


Caitlin Burbank, PhD, PT, DPT, CEEAA

Caitlin is a member of the Cultural and Minority affairs committee, Research work group. Caitlin has eight years of clinical experience in geriatrics, neurorehabilitation, and skilled nursing in Oregon, and has served as a teaching assistant at George Fox University. She recently graduated with her PhD in Public Health with an Epidemiology concentration from Oregon State University. Her research interests include predictors of healthy and pathologic aging, frailty, physical, and health outcomes assessment.

 

 


Talina Corvus, PhD, DPT, PT, GCS, ACEEAA

Talina is the Chair of the APTA-Oregon Cultural and Minority Affairs Committee, adjunct professor to the DPT program at Pacific University, and Assistant Professor in the interprofessional Education and Leadership PhD program at Pacific University. Her work in education and advocacy has focused on equity, inclusion, systemic and historical awareness, and justice in the realms of healthcare and education.

 

 

 

 

 


Jose L. Reyna, PT, DPT, OCS

Jose is an active member of the Cultural and Minority Affairs Committee, Community Outreach and Research work groups. In addition, he serves as an Assistant Professor in pro-bono experience and patient-client management DPT courses. He strives to address the needs of medically underserved groups and has recently assisted MovementX in establishing the delivery of physical therapy services to individuals who are incarcerated or detained.

He looks forward to working on projects that enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as tackling paradigms that have negative influences on social determinants of health.


Christy Billock PhD, OTR/L, DipACLM

Christy Billock is a Professor and Founding Program Director of the Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD) program at Keck Graduate Institute (KGI). Dr. Billock holds a PhD in Occupational Science from the University of Southern California, where her dissertation focused on women’s experience of spirituality in everyday life. Dr. Billock’s clinical background is in inpatient rehabilitation and she is a board-certified diplomate of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. She has taught occupational therapy for 24 years in a broad range of subject areas including neuroscience and prevention and wellness. Dr. Billock has spoken at numerous state, regional, national, and international professional conferences. A recipient of numerous awards within occupational therapy, most recently she is the 2022 California Foundation of Occupational Therapy Honored Lecturer. She is passionate about innovation in occupational therapy and growing the profession’s role in health promotion.
