Elections

APTA Oregon elections for board and delegate positions take place in the fall. Per APTA Oregon's bylaws, board members and delegates serve one-year terms, January 1 through December 31. This requires that an annual election be held for all positions except President. The President-Elect automatically assumes the office of the President at the end of the President-Elect term.

APTA Oregon PT and PTA members are eligible to vote in elections. Five percent of the voting membership shall constitute a quorum. The plurality of the votes cast shall determine the outcome of the election. If there is a tie vote in any position, a special election will be held for the candidates tied for that position. APTA Oregon uses a secure online voting platform for the election that insures that only APTA Oregon members vote and that members are allowed one vote each.  All members will be required to log in using their APTA membership number and last name. Voting begins on September 30 and all votes must be received by October 30 at 11:59 pm in order to be counted.
